01 / THE ASSIGNMENT
Everything you need for the night, in one place. Capture the scale, the movement and the moments between. Once you have the landscape, move in for the portrait.
ARRIVAL
Meet at Front of House at the church. Enter via the side entrance and let the door team know you are with production.
Pizza and prayer at Hackney Church House if you are available and want to come earlier.
SHOOTING NOTES
Check your time and date are correct. Give us a thoughtful mix throughout: landscape and portrait, wide, close, still and creative.

THE WINDOW

Start with the room. Let the people, light and scale tell us where we are.
Faces, friendships, arrivals and the energy outside. Look for connection, not performance.
Keep the stage breathing. Wait for a real expression and take the room with them.
Groups, hands, movement and the band as one body. Wide before close.
Balcony, architecture, light and scale. The place is part of the story.
03 / THE PLAN
04 / SHOT LIST
Landscape is the priority for the whole night. Once you have the landscape, grab a portrait version of the same moment if you can, without missing the landscape.
People queuing outside from 7pm, smiling faces, group shots, wide landscapes of the room, the balcony, and hands raised. Land the wide shot first, then move in for the portrait.
Anyone on stage or speaking: always start landscape and let the stage breathe around them. Time the capture for when they are smiling rather than firing continuously. Grab a portrait after, if you can do it without missing the landscape.
Think band shots and the balcony, where it naturally reads as a group of people rather than one person. Hands raised, wide shots of the room, landscape first.
Please avoid close ups of faces in worship, and do not photograph anyone crying or clearly in personal prayer. Those moments stay private, so keep it wide or group focused instead.
Slow shutter and motion blur on someone dancing or worshipping, plus quiet detail shots: an open Bible, a hand resting on a page, a journal. These add texture alongside the straight coverage.
Please do not shoot during ministry time. It is a personal, sensitive moment for people and cameras should stay down. Use this window to cull your shots so far and swap SD cards instead.
